To commemorate the anniversary, GMWA will kicked off a “National Campaign to Honor the King” with a grass-roots petition drive to collect 25,000 – 50,000 signatures in 40 cities across America. Preaching Excerpts Added to Rotation
BlackGospel Radio has incorporated intermittent preaching excerpts to station programming. As God continues to guide me in the expansion of  the purpose and vision of this station, my prayer is that as you listen not only to God's Word through song, but also to the preached Word, your faith would be expanded to participate more fully in the building of The Kingdom.

Current excerpts are being delivered by my Pastor, Elder Frederick Purnell, Pastor of the Solid Foundation Word Of Knowledge Ministries Worship Center located in Bear, Delaware. Click here for more information.

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

Read it > Romans 10:14-17

Playlist Scheduling Added

IMPORTANT NEWS

Regarding the future of BlackGospel Radio

We apologize to those of you that have been having trouble accessing the station after about 11AM EST. Our listener cap has been raised and beginning next week we will able to accommodate up to 1000 simultaneous listeners (currently we're at 750 free). But only for the next few weeks will free listening be available to all.  Live365 our streaming host, is currently restructuring its broadcasting fees based on the fact that royalties will now have to be paid to the RIAA for broadcasting this music. Beginning June 1, 2003, the new fees will limit the amount of listeners that will be able to listen for free. Free listening will be based on only what I can afford to pay, and based on the high listenership at BlackGospel Radio, the number we can accommodate will be very limited. Only Preferred Members receive unlimited listening 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and part of your subscription is also contributed to the support of this broadcast. Click here to sign up now and receive 7 days free (you can also get in even when the station is maxed out!). Preferred membership is the only way to insure that you will be able to listen to BlackGospel Radio at any time you choose. The cost is just 16 cents per day which yields no ads, no pop-ups, just gospel music, all day and night..... Sign up today to avoid future trouble listening to BlackGospel Radio. Unfortunately, the opportunities for listening to good quality internet radio for free are diminishing while the costs of broadcasting are escalating much too fast for folks like myself who must fund their own stations... Please support BlackGospel Radio -- and give me the opportunity to continue to provide great gospel music to you and to the world!

Thank you in advance for your investment in this ministry today and in the future.

God Bless,
R. McCollum

Advertise On Blackgospel Radio via Live365

Internet Radio advertising is just like radio advertising - but more powerful.

bulletMore precise targeting opportunities
bulletLive365 doesn't extrapolate from diaries, they tell you the exact number of impressions delivered
bulletAdvertising is multi-faceted - combine audio ads with synchronized banners and buttons to maximize visibility and retain attention.
bulletMore actionable - listeners are only a click away from your site
bulletAudio is not background noise. Listeners at their computers pay attention.
bulletPromote listening parties, chats, new releases, artist tours and promotions, live webcasting events, gospel publications, recordings, seminars and workshops.

A highly desirable audience, a huge market share, and a highly targeted delivery platform, Live365 offers advantages over terrestrial radio and other Internet broadcasters.

Record Label Services
More than 3 million listeners tune into Live365 each month. Live365 offers a variety of services that connect music makers with these music lovers in ways that have never before been possible.

Artists and labels have the opportunity to get airplay and promote music of all genres within our diverse, music-loving community including gospel. And, thanks to the interactive nature of the medium, you’ll get real time feedback about the tastes and preferences of the Live365 audience.

Live365 broadcasters such as BlackGospel Radio can program tracks from their central Music Library. When artists and labels add music to this "record pool," Live365 broadcasters can easily find, preview and add these tracks directly into their playlists.

Labels and artists can also run their own Internet radio stations on Live365. This provides a cost-effective alternative or complement to duplicating and shipping promotional CDs. In addition to music itself, artist interviews, tour information or other news can be included.

For more information visit http://www.live365.com/labelservices/index.live

It's less than a quarter a day!!!

Now Accepting Independent Projects
March, 2003

I've gotten many e-mails requesting that I play independent projects. I am now accepting them.  Click here to access the "Indy" page that explains the process for accepting projects for airplay. Please follow these instructions explicitly in order for your song(s) to get in the playlist.

Urgent Listener News
February, 2003

Live365, my streaming host, announced that they will be moving to a free, anonymous listener registration & per session log-in beginning in January 2003, although you may pre-register now. Bookmarks to your favorite players will be invalid at that time unless you do. First time listeners can click the link at the bottom of the player window to listen first and register later.

To avoid daily log-in, you can
download Start365. The first time only, enter your User Name and Password (once you've registered at Live365). Then set my station (BlackGospel Radio) in your presets, select your favorite station from your list of presets and you’re ready to go! Simply click on the Start365 desktop icon, and you’ll be listening to us in seconds!. Even better, the next time you start up your computer, Start365 can automatically launch a player window tuned to that station.

Unfortunately I have no control over this requirement. I am a HOBBYIST webcaster, although BlackGospel Radio is becoming larger than many commercially owned streams. It already is at significant personal expense that I bring you this music. I can not move my webcast to another host, as with royalty and licensing fees, plus bandwidth to accommodate nearly 2,000 listeners daily, I would have to pay over $20,000 a year for to provide this station. Live365 is the only streaming provider who allows me to bring you this music at reasonable cost due to it's tremendous popularity.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE support BlackGospel Radio and independent webcasters everywhere and help us continue to bring you the music you love...and take 3 minutes to register @ Live365.com either through my station page & clicking the listen icon, or by using the above listening/launch link & wizard today! REGISTER NOW!

Thank You & God Bless,
- Robyn
