It has been an interesting year for not just gospel music but all genres. Most awards shows went virtual and there was the large lack of live concerts and radio station events because of coronavirus pandemic.
So Billboard laid it out in its year-end chart round-up for gospel radio in that these are the songs that logged the most time on our radio dials this year. They include 2020’s New Artist of the Year, Pastor Mike Jr. who has a second single climbing right now (“I Got It’).
There were very few newcomers to the Top 10 but there might be some songs that’ll surprise you including Season 9 Sunday Best’s Keyla Richardson who took the #1 spot with “So Good.” Also the collab of Jermaine Dolly and Maranda Curtis awarded Jermaine his first No. 1 although he’s been at the top of the charts before. The others come industry veterans who have brought us chart-topping songs in the past.
