Pastor Mike Jr Scores 3rd Straight No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel Airplay Chart

An ‘Amazing’ Run

Pastor Mike Jr. scores his third straight career-opening No. 1 on the Gospel Airplay chart as “Amazing” ascends to the summit with a 13% gain in plays.

The streak marks a first in the chart’s 17-year history, after three artists have achieved two consecutive career-starting leaders: Casey J, DOE and William McDowell.

“Amazing” follows Pastor Mike Jr.’s “I Got It,” which dominated for four weeks starting in March 2021, and his first entry “Big” which ruled for 10 frames beginning in February 2020.

“Amazing” is an inspirational cover of the Gnarles Barkley classic, “Crazy”, that talks about the “amazing” goodness of God, The Christian Beat
