Jermaine Dolly’s ‘I’ll Go’ Tops Gospel Airplay Chart

Jermaine Dolly’s “I’ll Go” rises to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Gospel Airplay chart (dated Nov. 13). The song increased by 22% in plays in the tracking week ending Nov. 7, according to MRC Data.

“I always say, ‘If you keep God first … you’ll never be last,’ ” Dolly says. “That’s what ‘I’ll Go’ is all about.”

While the single reaches the top spot in its 33rd week on the chart, its run to No. 1 dates back far longer. Says Dolly of the track, which he penned solo,

“To see a song that I wrote and produced 10 years ago still being effective to whoever hears it is a testament in itself. I always say, ‘If you keep God first … you’ll never be last.’ And that’s what ‘I’ll Go’ is all about.”

“I’ll Go” marks Dolly’s third total and consecutive Gospel Airplay leader. It follows his featured turn on Titus Showers’ “It’s Gonna Be Alright,” which ruled for a week in October 2020, and Dolly’s “Pull Us Through,” featuring Maranda Curtis, a five-week No. 1 in April-May 2020.

Dolly, originally from Philadelphia, boasts three additional Gospel Airplay top 10s. His debut entry “You” hit No. 3 in 2016, followed by “Come and Knock on Our Door” (No. 10, 2017) and “Serve” (No. 3, 2018).
